La historia.
Once upon a time, there was an old man who had a pet parrot. The parrot was very clever and talked to the old man all the time. One day, the old man was walking in the park when he saw a beautiful young girl. He wanted to talk to her, but he was too shy. The parrot, however, wasn’t shy at all, and started to talk to the girl. He said, «Hello, my name is Parrot. What’s yours?» The girl was so surprised that she just stared. Then the parrot said, «Don’t worry, I’m here to help you. Tell me, what are you doing here?» The girl finally spoke and said, «I’m here to meet my friends.» The parrot said, «That’s great! Do you want me to come along with you? I’m sure your friends would love to meet me!» The girl laughed and said, «Sure, why not? Let’s go!»
So, the old man, the parrot, and the girl went to the park together. When they arrived, the girl’s friends were so surprised to see the parrot! They started to talk and laugh and play together. Suddenly, the old man noticed that the sun was setting and it was time to go home. He thanked the girl and her friends, and they all said goodbye.
The old man and the parrot went home, walking side by side. The old man was very happy and thanked the parrot for being so brave and helping him to make a new friend. The parrot smiled and said, «You’re welcome! That’s what friends are for!»

Había una vez un viejo que tenía un loro como mascota. El loro era muy inteligente y hablaba con el viejo todo el tiempo. Un día, el viejo estaba caminando en el parque cuando vio a una hermosa joven. Quería hablar con ella, pero era demasiado tímido. El loro, sin embargo, no era tímido en absoluto, y comenzó a hablar con la chica. Él dijo: «Hola, mi nombre es Loro.
Dime, ¿qué estás haciendo aquí? La chica finalmente habló y dijo: «Estoy aquí para reunirme con mis amigos». El loro dijo: «¡Eso es genial! ¿Quieres que vaya contigo? ¡Estoy seguro de que a tus amigos les encantaría conocerme!» La chica rió y dijo: «Claro, ¿por qué no? ¡Vamos!»
Así que el viejo, el loro y la chica fueron al parque juntos. Cuando llegaron, ¡los amigos de la chica quedaron muy sorprendidos al ver al loro! Comenzaron a hablar, reír y jugar juntos. De repente, el viejo se dio cuenta de que el sol se estaba poniendo y era hora de irse a casa. Él agradeció a la chica y a sus amigos, y todos se despidieron.
El viejo y el loro se fueron a casa, caminando uno al lado del otro. El viejo estaba muy feliz y agradeció al loro por ser tan valiente y ayudarlo a hacer un nuevo amigo. El loro sonrió y dijo: «¡De nada! ¡Eso es lo que hacen los amigos!»
